The Business model
PowerFull is a service that allows users to book spaces where they can work, meet, and workout and pay per hour or for what they use. It allows our partner spaces to monetize and generate revenue from underutilized spaces during off-peak hours; to offer additional products and services and to grow and acquire customers.
It enables users to continue their daily routine anywhere by making it easy to book their needs through simple clicks. It allows the user to maintain their work/life balance regardless of where they are through PowerWork (work and meet) and PowerFit (workout). Our model also is based on fair pricing, allowing users to pay only for what they use, without the need for memberships, affiliate fees, etc.
The service enables users to, through geolocation:
Search for spaces around them where they can work or workout from
Explore the spaces, its additional services, amenities, and user-generated reviews
See the price per hour/half-day/day and availability of the space at the selected day and time
Book what they need and pay all in one place
The city hosts over 1500 conventions, congresses, and conferences per year, leaving Barcelona filled with 23.4% of the annual 7.5 million tourists under the “business” category. This means that 1.7 million tourists arrive each year to Barcelona for business, making them the ideal PowerFull users. According to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Barcelona is the third most popular city for business meetings based on the number of international association meetings held.
During our ideation process, we worked in co-creation sessions with potential users to have a better understanding of their needs, wants, desires and existing market gaps. Together we mapped the customer journey for the service offering, identifying the key touchpoints and potential ways to address them; these went from awareness about PowerFull to the step-by-step process of booking a space, checking-in, and checking-out and paying for the service. This process really helped us to create a product our users would be excited to take a part of and further refine our idea.
PowerFull allows our partners to monetize and generate revenue from underutilized spaces during off-peak hours; to offer additional products and services and to grow and acquire customers. Because our partners are such a key component of our success and our customer’s experience and L2R, we created worked together to create a customer journey map that outlines our partner’s interaction with our business. For us, it is equally important that their experience as partners is one where they feel valued, appreciated, and content with our platform and the service offering.
